Homemade BBQ Sauce

- 1 cup ketchup
- 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons molasses
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper adjust to taste for spiciness

- Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a simmer.
- Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent it from sticking to the bottom of the pan.
- After simmering, remove the saucepan from the heat and let the BBQ sauce cool down to room temperature.
- Once cooled, you can use the sauce immediately or transfer it to a jar or airtight container for storage.
- For the best flavor, refrigerate the sauce for at least 2 hours or overnight to allow the flavors to meld together.
