Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons molasses
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper adjust to taste for spiciness

  • In a medium saucepan, combine the ketchup, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, molasses, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and cayenne pepper.
  • Stir the mixture well to combine all the ingredients.
  • Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a simmer.
  • Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent it from sticking to the bottom of the pan.
  • After simmering, remove the saucepan from the heat and let the BBQ sauce cool down to room temperature.
  • Once cooled, you can use the sauce immediately or transfer it to a jar or airtight container for storage.
  • For the best flavor, refrigerate the sauce for at least 2 hours or overnight to allow the flavors to meld together.
  • Use the homemade BBQ sauce to baste grilled meats, as a dipping sauce, or as a marinade for your favorite barbecue recipes.
